Should I take a Student Loan?

It could be very hard for Muslims in the west to sacrifice there religion and take a loan go to University because financially its extraordinary high, unless you got the money saved up or have rich Parents willing to pay. However for most of us its a struggle because its 'Riba' one of the major sin in Islam to get a interest related loan from bank or government, like in the UK or from the Bank in the USA.

what is interests? when you get a loan from somewhere and pay back more. It makes the rich, richer and the poor, poorer.

why interests (Riba) is haram, because it makes the poor, poorer and the rich, richer.

Despite it being a major sin, Muslims are still taking loan with interests and committing a major sin. Some take it unknowingly or know later before its too late and some take it by temptation and it effects there mental Health. However we can agree universally its haram and shouldn't be taken lightly which could make a difference to your akhirah.

Some Scholars say it is O.K out of necessity, however most disagree and say its haram, it is one of the major sin in Islam.

This is clearly stated in the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) warned us against this, That your starting a war against Allah and the Messenger of Allah, 'Muhammad' if you do this. Can you see how serious this matter is? in no other place in the Quran states this about any other sin either than this, that's how serious this matter is. We as Muslims should be educated about this and be aware of its magnitude. Despite all this Muslims with an Weak Iman ignore this and take the loan and ignore its circumstances.

What are the option ? Borrow Money from families or friend, work Part-time, or take time off working to raise the money. But whatever you do don't take interest, Brothers and Sisters, another option is get a loan from a Islamic Bank.

Before we start work your in debt and will take time paying it back.

if you already committed Riba unknowingly, make touwba to Allah (ask for forgiveness) and try to pay for the loan as soon a possible without any delay.

This world is temporarily and a Test so don't compromise your religion and do everything that pleases Allah, so we all go to Janna.

These days you don't need a degree to get a good and well paid jobs there are other alternatives like scholarship and apprenticeship.

You can almost learn anything theses days because of the internet.
